Our Story
There is something very special about landscape photography, it freezes a moment in time. It seems simple enough to take the perfect shot, print it, frame it, and hang it. There so much more to it than that! It takes finding the perfect place at the perfect time, and having the correct equipment. Oh yes, and some luck.
I have been at this for years, and I can tell you that all of the planning in the world doesn’t insure you will get that shot. The best photos, I have ever taken, were not planned. It takes being prepared for the unexpected, that yields the best results.
There are rules that photographers are taught to never break. For example, only shoot landscapes at sunrise or sunset. The rule of 3rds tells us to never place the subject in the middle of the photo. There are several other rules that we must go by. I know all of them, and they make for some easy reading. The truth is, there aren’t any “one size fits all” for any type of photography. There are opportunities to freeze a moment in time, that will last as long as we have it.
